Lake George Trail is a popular loop around the lake. This trail offers scenic views of the water and surrounding mountains. It is approximately 8 miles long and is suitable for all skill levels.
Prospect Mountain trail is a moderate trail which leads to the summit of Prospect Mountain where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views for up to 100 miles. You’ll enjoy the beauty of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains all at once!
Buck Mountain Trail is a challenging trail which provides hikers with stunning views of the lake and the surrounding wilderness. It’s about 6 miles long and is recommended for experienced hikers.
Sleeping Beauty Mountain Trail in the Lake George Wild Forest is a moderate 7 mile trail with a beautiful summit. The views boast of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
Shelving Rock Falls Trail is an easy trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall. It’s about 2 miles round trip and it’s easy to extend to other trails along the lake or into the woods around it. This scenic waterfall is accessible via a moderate hike and provides an excellent spot for a picnic or a refreshing swim during the summer months. The falls cascade down smooth rocks, creating a soothing ambiance and a perfect backdrop for memorable photographs.
